The Qabalistic Cross and The Middle Pillar: Golden Dawn Rituals portrayed as esoteric art.

Acrylic & Ink on Wood, 10” x 8” x 1”

This painting represents two ceremonial magickal practices combined & interpreted in a celestial, cosmic form. This image embodies many ancient symbols & ideas about human origins, the ultimate source of creation, mankind's quest for union with the Divine Light, a soul's desire to bring itself into balance, to awaken one's connection to the universal truth, & the revelation of the True Self, the True Will, the Holy Guardian Angel. Planetary & cosmic energies interplay with everything we do throughout our lives, as demonstrated in part by astrological ideas. This painting seeks to tap into truths deeper than words, associations known by the subconscious & by the physical body itself, not necessarily symbols or ideas recognized & identified by the conscious mind.

I’ve recorded a video going into greater depth about the meanings behind this painting, both in an overall sense but also the extremely personal and vulnerable qualities it holds for me:

Much of the insights from which this painting came were gleaned from Damien Echols’ book High Magick.
